Local Diving - Boynton Reef Sites - Club House

Club House Reef marks the beginning of the Southern end of the Boynton Reef System and is the least dramatic portion of the Boynton Reef System. However, there are some neat opportunities if you have at least average navigational skills.

Zone 1 60 - 65 Feet Scattered Coral Heads

Zone 2 60 - 65 Feet Sand

Zone 3 50 - 65 Feet Inside Main Ledge

Zone 4 45 - 50 Feet Gorgonia Roll Off

Zone 5 40 - 45 Feet Gorgonia Flats

Zone 6 45 - 50 Feet Gorgonia Roll Off

Zone 7 50 - 80 Feet Outside Fingers

Zone 8 95 - 105 Feet Sand

One option is to begin the dive in Zone 7 (The Grouper Hole) and follow the outside fingers North for about 10 minutes and then cross West over the reef to Zone 3 and follow the inside main ledge North.

Another option is to begin the dive in Zone 1 and follow the scattered coral heads North for about 10 minutes and then cross East over the sand to Zone 3 and follow the inside main ledge North.

Both of these dives cover a variety of terrain and provide a bonus opportunity to see free swimming Nurse Sharks and Loggerhead Turtles. Also, look for Sting Rays in the sand. They seem to prefer the soft white sand that is common along the southern inside edge of the Boynton Reef.
