Local Diving - Boynton Reef Sites - Briny BreezesBriny Breezes is named for the community that lies due West of the reef. The reef is characterized by stretches of not very interesting reef that alternate with dramatic 10 foot high ledges with huge chunks of broken reef in the sand. It is in these sections that the bigger creatures like to spend their day resting. When diving this section of the reef, swim a little faster when it's not so interesting and then slow down when you get to a spot you like. Also look out in the sand just West of the reef. Here you will find scrub coral and sponges. Just the place for a hungry turtle. Reef Cross Section Follow the Main Ledge in Zone 3 or, if you want to look for even larger creatures, try the fingers in Zone 7. West <--->East
