A very large Southern Sting Ray taking flight with entourage of Cobia on Briny Breezes Reef.

It's common to see Cobia with big rays as they make a good team. The ray's contribution is that it stirs up the bottom and exposes crustaceans that the Cobia like to eat. In return, the Cobia watch over the ray when it is sleeping and warn it when a dangerous fish or diver is in the area.
